Perlong medical equipment of nets c-reactive protein function of four

For c-reactive protein research progress faster, at present, it is widely used in the determination of clinical disease early diagnosis and differential diagnosis:
(a) biological characteristics: serum c-reactive protein synthesized by the liver.
(2) And other acute phase of the reactants comparison: clinical most often used to acute phase detection of the index is blood sedimentation (ESR), it can measure the level of indirect fibrin, but the changes in patients and healthy range between large cross, so for the formulation of the results are affected, and it to the reaction of acute inflammation is relatively slow, general 2 ~ 3 genius beginning to rise, although the positive and effective treatment, ESR a few weeks after still don't drop to normal, and at the same time by ESR age, sex, anemia factors. Thus see, ESR whether in or resolve time appear, a c-reactive protein is poor, and by the influence of factors is more.
(3) Method: c-reactive protein determination method of more, the qualitative and quantitative generally fall into two. Including the use of purification of the pneumococcus C-components and patient serum reaction of precipitation, pneumococcal capsule swelling experiment, and specificity of serum and c-reactive protein reaction of precipitation test, the complement of capillary with the test, latex agglutinate experiment, latex diffusion precipitation test and so on, but they sensitivity low. As immune (RIA), radiation fluorescent (FIA), micropalte reader (ELISA) and the development of the method than polluted and the widespread application, people can in a very short period of time accurately measured serum c-reactive protein value. At present are the most widely than turbidity method.
(4) C-reactive protein in the pediatric the clinical application: c-reactive protein is acute phase reaction material, and in the pediatric apply more extensive. Although c-reactive protein concentration change only reflect the disease nonspecific changes, but for clinical disease diagnosis, differential diagnosis and curative effect of observation all have the important reference meanings.

Blood coagulation analyzer referenced limits and clinical application

Perlong medical equipment company on February 21,-the red blood cells (ESR) subsidence ratio is used to reflect the acute or chronic inflammation, active tuberculosis, rheumatic fever stage, autoimmune diseases, malignant tumor and monitoring the efficacy of treatment the important index, despite the specificity and sensitivity is not very high, but is still considered the acute inflammation is reliable and commonly used detection of the index. At present were still as international standardization of the hematology committee (ICSH) to the recommendations of the party, this law is vulnerable to a variety of factors, along with the rapid development of clinical testing technology, were gradually by some new method, the method of automatic replaced. What is the live blood test analyzer?

In order to best understand the difference and the benefits of this particular test it is necessary to consider the conventional blood test that is given at the doctor’s surgery or hospital, known as a Complete Blood Count (CBC). Almost every person has experienced this particular test which involves inserting a needle into the patient’s arm and extracting a syringe full of blood, which can be a very painful ordeal for some people. The blood sample is then sent to a laboratory to be examined by a haematologist and it can take up to two weeks to receive the results.
However, the major problem with this test is that half an hour after the blood cells are extracted from the human body they die so the haematologist is merely counting dead blood cells. The blood is also changed through the addition of stains and dyes in order to facilitate the analysis. The results take the form of a quantitative analysis of the blood, that is to say how many dead red blood cells, how many dead white blood cells, what number is the cholesterol level etc.
Above these , we can know , in some way , live blood test have a big advantage when we do some blood test for sick diagnosis by hematology analyzer or other medical analyzer. The live blood can tell us more information better then regular blood test.

Preparing Your Child for a Medical Test

Medical tests can be scary for adults and for children. You can help your child feel safe and calm during medical tests if you understand why your child is having the test and remain calm yourself. Talk to your doctor without your child present about any concerns you have about the need for the test, its risks, how it will be done, or what the results may mean. To help you understand the importance of the test for your child, complete the medical test information form(What is a PDF document?).
Some common tests that your child may need include: A blood test. A urine test. An X-ray.
Try to schedule the test or exam for a time when your child won't be tired or hungry. Tell your child as much or as little about the test that he or she is old enough to understand. And always be honest. For instance, don't promise something that may or may not be true, such as saying that the test won't hurt. Instead, you could say "I'll be nearby."
Ask your doctor about any medicines that your child may have before the test to reduce his or her discomfort, such as EMLA cream to numb the skin before a needle stick. At the time of the test or exam, your child may not want to cooperate with the doctor, and you may need to hold your child still so the test can be done. Don't scold your child for being afraid or for fighting or crying about being held still. If you act scared or upset, or if it becomes too difficult for you to hold your child, your doctor may ask you to leave the room and then have an assistant hold your child during the test. Do your best to comfort your child after the test is done.

X-Ray Exams of the Digestive Tract

There are several commonly performed X-ray tests that allow your doctor to examine your digestive tract from the esophagus to the rectum.
These tests utilize barium or an iodine-containing agent that allows visualization of the digestive tract and a form of X-ray machine called fluoroscopy. Fluoroscopy allows part of the body to be studied in motion and recorded on a video monitor.
Fluoroscopic examinations of your GI tract may be performed in a doctor's office, a commercial X-ray machine, or a hospital. These tests are usually called either an "upper GI" or a barium or contrast enema or a "lower GI", depending on the organs to be studied.
Today, we will mainly introduce Upper GI tests.
Upper GI tests use X-rays to examine the esophagus, stomach, and first part of the small intestine (the duodenum). You could see some articles about the digestive system to learn more about these organs.
For these tests, a person is required to drink barium. As the barium passes through the digestive tract, it fills and coats the esophagus, stomach, and first part of the small intestine making them more visible with X-ray. Then a fluoroscope machine is held over the part of the body being examined and transmits continuous images to a video monitor.

What is the live blood test analyzer?

Live blood analysis – also known as live blood cell analysis, nutritional microscopy or sometimes dark field microscopy biological terrain assessment – is fundamentally the analysis of living blood under an extremely powerful microscope connected to a camera. This diagnosis process is operated on the hematology analyzer.
The condition and quality of your red blood cells have a direct impact on your present and future health, with stress and disease appearing in the blood years before they manifest in the body. So what do your blood cells look like?
Live blood testing enables us to see your blood exactly as it behaves inside your body, giving a clear picture of your health at a cellular level. We are not looking for patterns that lead to a ‘diagnosis’ in any shape or form, but are merely looking for imbalances in the pH levels in your blood.
Then what is different form regular test blood test ? That is to say that what advantage do the live blood test have to the regular blood test ? We will introduce the answer in another news .

Does x ray machine can diagnose the SARS correctly ?

There occurs SARS in 2003, and there are so many people seek to medical solution. And doctor will check it under x ray in wards by mobile x ray machine. But in fact it is a wrong way to diagnosis by mobile x ray machine  for SARS only .
Common symptoms are flu-like and include fever, chills, muscle aches, coughing and headaches. Your doctor will likely listen to your breathing through a stethoscope. If you have SARS, your doctor will hear abnormal lung sounds, and he or she will subsequently order a chest X-ray to confirm the presence of pneumonia or respiratory distress syndrome.
SARS-infected lungs typically present with small or large patchy shadows in both lungs on a chest X-ray. In fact, one research study found that 31 of 52 clinical SARS cases showed this pattern. Another 18 clinical SARS cases had small or large patchy shadows in one lung or a segment of lung. The researchers concluded that a chest X-ray is a sensitive and specific method for SARS testing and diagnosis. A person infected with SARS should have a chest X-ray every one to three days to monitor progress or decline.
A chest X-ray alone cannot reliably diagnose SARS; your doctor will probably do a thorough medical history, including a review of your symptoms and any other pre-existing medical conditions. Your doctor may order blood tests by hematology analyzer  that assess blood clotting; ALT and CPK levels, which tend to be high in people with SARS; and potassium and sodium levels, which tend to be low. Your doctor will also likely assess your white blood cell count, your lymphocyte count, and your platelet count, all of which tend to be low if you have SARS. Finally, a specific SARS test, called the PCR test, determines if you have SARS antibodies in your system.

New Breakthrough about Blood : Angiogenesis

Blood is a significant signal for every one  healthy , then our company produce several kind of medical analyzer about blood, such as hematology analyzer , microplate reader, fast diagnosis device and some related reagents . so we always take much attention to medical discovery on  blood  of human beings .
Then angiogenesis, the growth of new capillary blood vessels, is an important natural process in the body used for healing and reproduction.
The body controls angiogenesis by producing a delicate balance of growth factors and inhibitory factors. When this balance is disturbed, the result is either too much or too little angiogenesis.
Either too much or too little angiogenesis or blood vessel growth, is now recognized as a common factor in many debilitating conditions. These include not only cancer but also skin diseases, age-related blindness, diabetic ulcers, cardiovascular
We are so glad to get the news the success of angiogenesis, it will be benefit to human for all over the world . Since there is so many disease marked in blood.  So the same to our products , hematology analyzer and some related reagents , it will do a good effort to human beings .

For some people, the annual physical examination is a source of reassurance that they're as healthy as they feel. Others see it as an alarm system, to catch health problems before they become serious.
This examination is so necessary and important for human body. The physical exam is an essential part of any doctor's visit. Surprisingly, though, there are no absolutes in a routine physical. A good doctor may be thorough or brief, according to his or her personal style and your individual circumstances.
Most people have experienced many aspects of the annual exam:
First , before taking a test , doctors will know some about your health. Such as smoking, excessive alcohol use, diet and exercise.
Then is vital signs , including blood pressure , less than 120 over 80 is a normal blood pressure. Doctors define high blood pressure (hypertension) as 140 over 90 or higher. Heart exam , lung exam, head and neck exam, abdomina exam , neurological exam .
Then when you do some test , you will use some medical equipment , they are so fast and conveniently for doctors to operate . Such as hematology analyzer , fluoroscopy  x ray machine  , microplated reader . Immune quantitative analyzer.  They usually test on human’s blood , for there are so many health singal is marked in our blood , the same as the disease .

Hematologist Requirements

Hematologists are doctors who study blood and all its components, such as white blood cells, plasma and hemoglobin. They also study the diseases of the blood and the process through which blood cells are created. Their work has helped improved the treatment of patients with diseases like sickle-cell anemia, hemophilia and leukemia.
Becoming a Doctor
Before you become a hematologist, you need to become a trained physician. This means you'll need to graduate from medical school and complete a residency in internal medicine. The entire process from starting college to medical school and through a residency will take at least 10 years. However, once you finish, you will be a certified internist.
Hematology Residency
Once you are a licensed doctor, you can begin advanced study in hematology. This will involve taking another residency where you will work in the field of hematology. The hands-on portion of the residency will give you experience working with patients with diseases like hemophilia and blood cancer. You will also have course work to learn about additional topics that involve blood like hematologic neoplasm, hemostasis and thrombosis. You can also choose to specialize in either internal medicine or pediatric hematology.
Certification
Hematologists are certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine. You can take the certification examination once you complete your hematology residency. To maintain the certification, you will need to complete continuing-education courses over the term of your license, which is 10 years. If you do not keep up to date on the newest technologies and best practices in the field, you will lose your certification and will no longer be a hematologist, though you will still be a doctor.
Other Skills
Though hematologists spend a lot of time in the lab studying blood, they will also see patients. Therefore they must have a good bedside manner. They must also have an analytical mind so they can study the problems they find in the blood. Depending on the treatment plan, hematologists may also be required to perform surgery on patients with blood problems.

Introduction to X-ray Detectors(2)

An X-ray can give all of its energy to an electron (a process called photo-electric absorption), or it can give some of its energy (a process called Compton scattering), or it can scatter without losing any energy (a process called Rayleigh scattering). The probability associated with each of these kinds of scattering depends on the energy of the X-ray photon, the bound state the electron is in, and the scattering angle. For the X-ray energies of most interest to X-ray astronomy, photo-electric absorption is much more likely than either kind of scattering.
So, when an X-ray stops in a detector, it has given all of its energy to one electron. That electron can rattle around in the detector and give energy to other electrons. In some materials, these electrons will have enough energy to be free of their host atoms. If an electric field is applied, these electrons can be collected and counted. The number of electrons collected tells you the energy that was deposited. Such detectors are called ionization detectors.
Another approach is to measure heat. All those excited electrons would rather go back to their original energy. They want to return to what is called the ground state. Through scattering with other electrons or with vibrations in the solid itself, they can lose that extra energy. But that energy has to go somewhere. What is does is heat the solid and increase its temperature. If you measure the change in temperature, you can measure how much energy the X-ray originally had.

This area is extremely wide that there are hundreds of numerous career titles  around, together with employment opportunities demanding zero learning to those people of numerous training as well as post  degree residency.
Many times, the first career course that certain thinks of in terms of careers in medical field is doctor. Of course this might appear a fairly simple thought, in reality there are numerous kinds of different general practitioners. An overall physician requires the particular smallest amount of knowledge.
Your next contemplation is often connected with nursing, which are usually in high demand and also have fairly large earnings in comparison to various other graduated pupils with bachelor’s diploma programs.
Except for one on one treatment personnel, there are a variety associated jobs in the health care field for aid workers. Young men and women are often shy away from careers in the medical field because they think it may be difficult. Office operators are expected for every workplace, in addition to receptionists. Payment is often handed in through professional medical payment specialists, whilst additionally, there are industry experts to finish auditing connected with documents, assure HIPAA regulations will be found. Dentistry has a good deal of people additionally, except the dental professional. Dental hygienists, verbal surgeons, and orthodontists are simply a handful of examples of employment within this industry.

Types of Medical Imaging

Ultrasound Imaging Ultrasound waves have a frequency just beyond that of audible sound. Similar to sonar used by submarines, these waves are emitted and bounce back once they strike an object. As a clinical tool , ultrasound imaging (ultrasonography) can detect differences between solid and liquid material in the body.Ultrasound studies use a portable machine with a computer and transducer probe. The probe is placed on the region of the patient's body to be visualized. A gel is placed between the probe and patient's body to maximize clarity of the image. The computer takes ultrasonic data and coverts it into visual form. This is useful for noninvasive real-time assessment, such as with fetal development in pregnant women and abdominal organs to rule out trauma or tumors.
Some ultrasound studies involve the additional component of Doppler ultrasound, which visualizes movement of blood cells. The motion is usually represented by different colors on top of the basic grayscale ultrasound image. For example, ultrasound of the heart (echocardiography) allows one to visualize the heart muscle and valves as grayscale images and an overlying mixture of red and blue to represent direction of blood flow.
Magnetic Resonance ImagingMagnetic resonance imaging (MRI), unlike x-ray imaging, does not use radiation. Instead, MRI works based on magnetic waves and the spin of protons. Data is processed by a computer to form the images that clinicians use.Compared with CT, images on MRI have more detail, which can be useful for analyzing soft tissue that is harder to look at on CT. However, MRI places the patient in a long narrow tube, which can be claustrophobic for some individuals. Furthermore, MRI is not safe for patients with metallic devices or implanted electrical devices, such as pacemakers.Nuclear ImagingNuclear imaging is unique in that the means of visualization are not external waves delivered to the body. Rather, electromagnetic waves are emitted from within. In general, a radioactive marker is introduced into the patient's bloodstream and accumulates in the organ of interest. The marker gives off gamma rays that are detected by a special camera and processed into images by a computer. This type of imaging is also unique in that nuclear medicine physicians, not radiologists, are the ones who interpret nuclear imaging studies. Applications of nuclear imaging include perfusion of the heart, activity of the thyroid gland, and late-stage cancer.

Pros & Cons of X-Rays

Seven out of 10 people receive either a medical or dental X-ray every year, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, making X-rays the primary source of man-made radiation exposure. Thousands of X-ray machines are used every day in medical settings.

X-ray machines work by sending out tiny X-ray particles, called photons, through the body and capturing them on special film or a computer. The X-ray particles are the same kind of radiation as sunlight and travel through the body in the same way.
Because photons move easily through substances like air, these show up as black on the X-ray film. Fluids in the body show up as gray, because the photons can partially penetrate liquid. The photons cannot penetrate very dense matter, such as bones and teeth, and these substances show up on the X-ray film as white.
X-ray examinations are given by trained medical professionals, called radiologists, in a medical setting.
Pros
X-rays are a useful diagnostic tool because they can provide a clear picture of many internal structures that could only be viewed through more complex or intrusive methods without X-rays.
X-rays can illuminate the skeletal system to diagnose broken bones or joint damage. They also can confirm the existence of suspected bodily blockages, such as kidney stones or gallstones, that might need medical intervention.
Because they are quick and easily performed tests, X-rays are good for situations, such as emergency room visits, where speed is important.
Cons
X-rays have the potential to cause cellular damage because they are ionizing rays and may remove electrons from the atoms with which they come in contact. Though the risk is small, it is possible that this cellular damage could lead to cancer. In some rare cases, this damage can affect ovary cells or sperm cells, making a person infertile.
X-rays are potentially dangerous for very small children. They have the potential to cause birth defects in unborn children.
Considerations
The National Academy of Sciences has said that in most cases, the benefits of diagnosis outweigh the possible risks of using X-rays. To ensure your safety, choose trained professionals at recognized medical institutions to perform your X-rays and carefully follow the instructions given to you during the procedure.
Be sure to tell your doctor if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding before your X-ray exam.
If you have questions about X-ray safety, talk with your doctor or health care provider.
Regulations
X-ray use is regulated by several different agencies in the United States. Individual states work with the Food and Drug Administration to inspect and approve the X-ray machines used within their borders. The FDA regulates the production of X-ray machinery. The National Institute of Standards and Technology is responsible for setting the standards for X-ray use and manufacture.

How X-rays Work

As many humans' monumental discoveries, X-ray technology was invented totally by accident. In 1895, a German physicist called Wilhelm Roentgen made the discovery when experimenting with electron beams in a gas discharge tube. He noticed that a fluorescent screen in his lab started to glow when the electron beam was turned on. This response in itself wasn't such surprising because fluorescent material normally glows in reaction to electromagnetic radiation. But Roentgen's tube was surrounded by heavy black cardboards. Roentgen assumed that this would have blocked most of the radiation.
Then Roentgen placed all kinds of objects between tube and screen, but the screen still glowed. Finally, he put his hand in front of the tube, and saw the silhouette of his bones projected onto the fluorescent screen. Immediately after discovering X-rays , he had discovered their most beneficial application.
Roentgen's remarkable discovery was one of the most important medical advancements in human history. X-ray technology can help doctors see straight through human tissue to examine broken bones, cavities and swallowed objects with extraordinary ease and so on. Modified X-ray procedures can be used to examine softer tissue, such as the lungs, blood vessels or the intestines ect.
Roentgen's discovery not only has great influence on medical diagnosis, but also influenced the appearance of many significant technology achievements in the 20th century. So in memory of  Roentgen's significant achievement, x rays were also called roentgen-rays in many countries.

What is C-arm?

C-arm is one of the driving technological forces behind the advancement of
minimally invasive surgeries. The mobile fluoroscopic imaging system is precise and
accurate device that allow for less patient discomfort in a variety of surgical and
nonsurgical procedures. The minimal invasiveness with the use of C-arm has helped lead
to the increase of more cost-effective outpatient care. C-arm provides patients with
minimally invasive, pain-reduced procedures.
Initially used in general surgery or orthopedic applications, C -arm is now
described by both manufacturers and users as highly versatile.  In fact, recently the
usage of c-arm has expanded to include minimally invasive, spinal, general, and
orthopedic surgeries; pain management; and cardiac, urology, vascular, and
neurovascular applications.
The c arm allows for lower x-ray doses to be used on patients by magnifying
the intensity produced in the output image, enabling the viewer to easily see the
structure of the object being imaged.

X-ray application and modern x ray machines

The most important application of the X-ray has been its use in medicine. This importance was recognized almost immediately after Roentgen’s findings were published in
1895. Within weeks of its first demonstration, an X-ray machine was used in America to diagnose bone fractures.
Thomas Alva Edison invented an X-ray fluoroscope in 1896. American physiologist Walter Cannon used Edison’s device to observe the movement of barium sulfate through
the digestive system of animals and eventually, humans. In 1913, the first X-ray tube designed specifically for medical purpose was developed by American chemist William
Coolidge. X-rays have since become the most reliable method for diagnosing internal problems.

Since the x ray machine used in the filed of medicine, there are many manufacturers produce all kinds of the medical x ray machines. And the x ray machine can be
classified mobile x ray machine, fixed x ray machine and so on.But all the modern medical X-ray machines have been grouped into two categories: those that generate "hard" X-rays
and those that generate "soft" X-rays. Soft X-rays are the kind used to photograph bones and internal organs. They operate at a relatively low frequency and, unless they are
repeated too often, cause little damage to tissues.

Hard X-rays are very high frequency rays. They are designed to destroy the molecules within specific cells, thus destroying tissue. Hard X-rays are used in
radiotherapy,a treatment for cancer. The high voltage necessary to generate hard X-rays is usually produced using cyclotrons or synchrotrons. These machines are variations of
particle accelerators (atom smashers).
One of the more familiar X-ray machines is the security scanner used to examine baggage at airports. These machines use a very low-power scanner. They illuminate the
interior of purses and suitcases without causing damage to the contents.

Careers In The Medical Field

Person contemplating careers in medical field is likely to be overloaded
when initially researching the item. This area is extremely wide that there are
hundreds of numerous career titles  around, together with employment opportunities
demanding zero learning to those people of numerous training as well as post degree
residency.
Many times, the first career course that certain thinks of in terms of careers
in medical field is doctor. Of course this might appear a fairly simple thought, in
reality there are numerous kinds of different general practitioners. An overall
physician requires the particular smallest amount of knowledge.
Your next contemplation is often connected with nursing, which are usually in
high demand and also have fairly large earnings in comparison to various other
graduated pupils with bachelor’s diploma programs.
Except for one on one treatment personnel, there are a variety associated jobs
in the health care field for aid workers. Young men and women are often shy away from
careers in the medical field because they think it may be difficult. Office operators
are expected for every workplace, in addition to receptionists. Payment is often handed
in through professional medical payment specialists, whilst additionally, there are
industry experts to finish auditing connected with documents, assure HIPAA regulations
will be found. Dentistry has a good deal of people additionally, except the dental
professional. Dental hygienists, verbal surgeons, and orthodontists are simply a
handful of examples of employment within this industry.

What is C-arm used for ?

C-arm x ray machine provides real-time detailed viewing of anatomic structures using fluoroscopic dyes. It is considered to be a non-invasive device because no part of the equipment enters the body, making it safe to use for screening before, during and after other types of procedures.
Line placement
C-arms can be small and portable, making them ideal for use in visually guiding physicians to place stents and catheters. Patients undergoing chemotherapy typically receive a PICC line catheter so that medication can be delivered intravenously over a long period of time.
Orthopedics
Image intensifiers are frequently used in orthopedics to help place hardware needed to stabilize bones and joints, for vascular and neurological imaging to make sure that surrounding tissues remain healthy and to help guide surgeons operating on delicate areas such as the spine.
Surgery
There are many surgical uses including real-time viewing of the bony structures. This equipment can provide viewing assistance to guarantee precision during surgery.
Pain management
Image intensifiers are used in pain clinics to help guide needle placement into joints for injection of local anesthetics. Pain-relieving medication can be inserted into shoulders and knees with little or no damage to the surrounding structures.

Types of Radiology Equipment

Radiology, or diagnostic imaging, has become an essential tool for physicians
to help diagnose and recommend treatment for their patients. Most of the larger
diagnostic imaging centers have several types of radiology equipment for the doctor to
choose from. Each piece of equipment requires extensive training and certification by
the technicians operating the imaging device. The following four kinds are widely used
in the medical.
             MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a loud but very important machine that uses
magnetic fields and radio waves to get images of the patient. Since it does not use
radiation and produces very detailed images, MRI has become the most preferred
diagnostic imaging method by physicians. Most radiology centers have the
tunnel/traditional types of MRI machines, but there are open MRI machines for patients
who are claustrophobic.

How to prevent X-ray from hurting normal cells

In modern medical field, all kinds of x ray equipments have been widely used
in hospitals, health centers, clinical centers and so on.There are mobile x ray
machine, stationary x ray machine, c arm machine ect. The x ray technology brings much
convenience to medical field, but as every one knows, overmuch x ray can do a lot of
harm to human body.
According to British engineer's website reported recently, UK Bristol
university and university of swan lake is researching a X-ray sensor which can prevent
doctors from incorrect treatment to cancer radiotherapy patient. The sensor can produce
alarm to remind doctors to stop light when X-ray illuminates in normal patients.
The sensor’s research is based on physics study used to detect charged
particles sensor, according to design requirements, the sensor placed between patients
and medical x-ray machine must be designed very shin, so it will not affect the normal
illuminates by medical x-ray. The sensor can not only detect 0.0001% intensity of ray
radiation but also is very convenient for doctor to adjust x-ray’s shape and strength
by sensor’s collimator, which make x-ray hitting tumor location much more accurately.
Besides, the research team is still developing related software which can
predict the sensor’s possible problems in using process and compare to normal
situation, so operators can find problems and can prevent incorrect treatment. It is
expected that the sensor in the final product will be put into use in the hospitals
within three years.

Fluoroscopy

Fluoroscopy is the method that provides real-time X ray imaging that is especially useful for guiding a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures. The ability of fluoroscopy to display motion is provided by a continuous series of images produced at a maximum rate of 25-30 complete images per second. This is similar to the way conventional television or video transmits images.
The absorbed dose to a specific part of the skin and other tissues is of concern in fluoroscopy for two reasons: one is the need for minimizing the dose to sensitive organs, such as the gonads and breast, by careful positioning of the X ray beam and using shielding when appropriate. The second is the possible incidence of the radiation beam to an area of the skin for a long time that can result in radiation injuries in cases of very high exposure.
In fluoroscopy, as in all types of X ray imaging, the minimum exposure required to form an image depends on the specific image information requirements. An important characteristic of a fluoroscopic system is its sensitivity, the amount of exposure required to produce images. The use of intensifier tubes and more modern digital flat panel receptors make it possible to optimize the balance of patient exposure with image quality so as not to make the patient to get unnecessary radiation. Non-intensified fluoroscopy with just a fluorescent screen for a receptor should not be used because of the excessive exposure to the patient.
Our PLX2200 is a type of high frequency Remote-Control Fluoroscopic Equipment. Besides, our c arm machine can also be used to fluoroscopy.

What Is a C Arm X ray Machine Used For?

Many advances in medical technology have helped make procedures less invasive
and more comfortable for patients. The c arm x ray device, is one example of this
advancement, and enables doctors and patients to see results in less time.Design
"C-Arm" is a name given to specialized X-ray imaging machines due to their special
arced semi-circular design. C-Arms use X-rays for imaging, but are designed to work
with lower exposure.
         Advantages
C-Arm x-ray machines use intensifiers that magnify the readings. This allows
lower amounts of X-rays , and results in less radiation exposure for patients and
professionals.
          Applications
C-Arm machines are often smaller than traditional units, and can be used in
more confined spaces. This size advantage also enables applications such as mobile
screening rooms.
          Capabilities
C-Arm imaging equipment is capable of being adjusted to different settings
depending on the application. This means that X-ray exposure can be fine-tuned, and
results in lower radiation levels.
         Comfort
Being small and adjustable, C-Arm machines offer increased patient comfort
compared to traditional methods. This minimal invasiveness also makes faster diagnosis
and treatment for the patients.

Procedural and Miscellaneous Equipment used in Veterinary Practice

There are many medical equipments are widely used in the pet hospitals, such
as radiography machines (mobile x ray machine, digital x ray machines, etc.),
laboratory machines and so on.

Now, we introduce other two machines in veterinary practice .They are
Procedural and Miscellaneous Equipments.
Procedural Equipment

The basic inhalation anesthesia machine used in surgeries delivers a
controlled amount of anesthetic agent mixed with oxygen and provides a method of
assisting the patient's breathing. All anesthesia machines carry the same four
components: a gas source (usually oxygen), a gas pressure regulator, a flow meter that
controls the amount of gas entering the patient, and a vaporizer that delivers a
concentration of the anesthetic agent into the patient.

Machines that monitor the patient's heart rate and blood pressure, the amount
of carbon dioxide being expelled during breathing and the amount of oxygen in the blood
are common in modern surgical suites.
Dental cleanings require an ultrasonic dental unit that uses sound waves to generate
energy from a stationary shank down to a detachable head. Operating at 25,000 cycles
per second, the unit causes the head to vibrate and separate calculus and stains from
tooth surfaces. An aerosol mist generated from the head keeps the surface cool.
       Miscellaneous Instrument

Vet clinics use various other machines to take care of their patients.
Autoclaves sterilize instruments and materials used in surgeries and dental procedures.

Intravenous pumps deliver fluids and medication directly into the veins of sick
patients.

Special tables whose height and angle can be adjusted are designed for
surgical suites to facilitate veterinary procedures.

CT/CAT Scan (Computed Tomography)

CT/CAT Scan (Computed Tomography) uses rotating X-rays and computers to
obtain close and detailed images of organs, blood vessels and muscles. Providing
clearer images than a normal X-ray, this type of scan is usually used for the brain,
sinuses, abdomen, pelvis and chest.
        Ultrasound
Ultrasound, or Sonography, is a diagnostic machine that uses high frequency
sound waves to generate images. This diagnostic imaging machine is often used during
pregnancy and to identify problems with internal organs. Ultrasound is considered the
safest modality to use due to its lack of radiation, especially for expecting women.

          X-ray
X-ray machines such as mobile x ray machine, c arm use X-rays, or
electromagnetic radiation, to provide images of any part of the body. Though the images
are not as detailed and clear as other forms of diagnostic imaging, they are quick and
often used to determine problems with dense areas of the body, such as bones or
ligaments.

Understanding Your Imaging Equipment Service Agreements

If you are considering to purchase a new diagnostic imaging equipment and
corresponding equipment service agreements (synonymous with contract), the level of
service required for the radiologists needs to be determined first. There are countless
factors to think about — budget, service provider preferences, availability of in-
house repair technicians, there are numerous service providers to choose from that
offer different products and service levels.
First, radiologists should rank what factors are most important to them and
their practice. Second, knowledge is power, so knowing the difference between the most
common types of service agreements will help radiologists make a more informed and
efficient decision.
Below are the most common types of diagnostic imaging equipment service
agreements:
• Full-service
• Business hours
• Extended business hours
• Extended business hours and weekends
• Preventive maintenance (PM) only
• Time and materials
• Loaner or depot service
• Inspection only
• Calibration only
In the next page we will explain the detailed difference between the above
mentioned agreements of imaging equipment service (mobile x ray machine, digital x ray,
c arm machine, etc.)

The types of diagnostic imaging equipment service agreements

• Full-service — Service can be requested 24/7 usually via a toll-free hotline. It
typically includes response priority, corrective and preventative maintenance, parts
and labor, the use of OEM certified parts, and software updates.
• Business hours — Service can be requested during normal business hours, usually
eight hours a day, five days a week.
• Extended business hours — Service can be requested usually 12 hours a day, five days
a week.
• Extended business hours and weekends — Same as above, but set weekend hours are
included.
• Preventive maintenance (PM) only — Service includes a predetermined number of
preventative maintenance service calls during normal business hours.
• Time and materials — Service is paid for on an as-needed basis. The service vendor
charges for parts, labor, and travel.
• Loaner or depot service — The equipment is returned to the vendor and the vendor
provides a loaner piece of equipment until the faulty device has been repaired and
returned.
• Inspection only — Similar to PM only contracts in that it’s a flat fee paid for
only a known service.
• Calibration only — Similar to PM only contracts in that it’s a flat fee paid for
only a known service.
If the common service agreements mentioned above do not meet the requirements of
radiologists, their practice, or the diagnostic imaging equipment, there are other
alternatives. The most common is equipment maintenance management programs. These
programs toffen offer similar coverage levels characteristic of standard service
agreements, but at a lower cost and increased flexibility. Again, knowledge is power,
so proper investigation is needed before you purchase no matter x ray machines,
clinical lab devices, hematology analyzers.

Parts of an X-Ray Machine

An x-ray machine is a complex device used in a variety of circumstances around
the world. With the ability to penetrate hard objects, they are used in the medical
community to look for broken bones or problems within the body. Regardless of which
type of x-ray , there are a number of components that are vital to the inner workings
of an x-ray machine.
Vacuum Tube
X-ray tubes are more commonly referred to as vacuum tubes. They are integral
parts of the x-ray machine, and work by ionizing radiation with wavelengths shorter
than ultraviolet light. A cathode within the machine emits electrons into the vacuum
tube, at which point an anode collects the electrodes and establishes an electrical
current through the tube. A high voltage is used to accelerate the electrons, and the
current flow is pulsed until the required amount of x-ray exposure has occurred. The
beams of energy from the tube are focused onto a visible substance, which is where you
view the final result.
Power Source
A high voltage power source is required to operate an x-ray machine, usually
between 30 and 150 kilovolts depending on the type of x-ray being taken. The voltage is
used to accelerate the electrons within the vacuum tube, and is usually pulsed from 1
microsecond to 1 full second. The high voltage power source of an x-ray machine
controls the penetration of the x-ray itself, and thus the overall contrast of the
image, with the voltage of the current and exposure time affecting the dose and
darkness of the image.
Control Unit
The control unit of the x-ray machine is necessary to manage the voltage,
current, and time of exposure. Radiation intensity can change dramatically depending on
whether you are using the machine to render x-ray stills of body parts or using it as a
security monitor, for example. There is also a voltage control with a display, allowing
you to make adjustments in the anode itself to change the type of radiation energy
being released. The control unit also has a timer to control the pulses and duration of
the exposure.

What Are the Applications of Hematology?

Blood is the main area of study in hematology, so hematology research focuses on the substance itself, organs that form blood, diseases involving blood, and blood-forming organs. Most hematology analyzer applications are thus found in the medical field.
Blood is a carrier of a lot of substances throughout the body. In many respects, it is the messenger between not only various parts of the body, but also between the body and the outside world. Blood supplies nutrients and other substances. Scientists may therefore use blood's unique standing to deliver medicines and other substances in a quick and valuable fashion.
Hematologists have uncovered several components that sustain blood. Each of these components can be studied to better understand the human body’s function. For example, platelets, help medical professionals understand the process of clotting and therefore develop aids for this process. White blood cells and red blood cells tell scientists much about the body’s disease-fighting capabilities and its subsequent vulnerabilities to disease.
Due to the complexities of the blood, it is susceptible to a wide range of threats. Through hematology analyzer, researchers can better understand the workings of blood diseases like anemia or leukemia. This understanding comes greater hope for treatments and cures.

Tips for Buying C-arm

C-arms are very popular in hospitals and it also widely used in many fileds. So there are many hospitals want to buy the medical equipment. There are some advices or
suggestions for you, when you want to buy a c-arm,it may help you.
When choosing between a fixed C-arm system and a mobile C-arm, the mobile equipment is more popular as it is more versatile and much less expensive. The reason for this
is that the fixed C-arm systems are used for more complex procedures and are therefore equipped with a far greater number of features. On the other hand, most mobile C-arms are
currently available in high-end versions which are capable of performing many vascular and cardiac procedures, as well. The important benefit that the mobile C-arm system offers
is its ability to go where the patient is, and not vice versa.
If you have decided to purchase a mobile C-arm for your medical facility, it is important to understand all of the C-arm parts that comprise the entire system. When you are in
need of C-arm replacement parts, this check list may be helpful in identifying and pinpointing your search for C-arm parts:Various C-arm part handles for movement and
positioning;Power switch and exposure switch;Controls for radiographic and fluoroscopic settings;Various interconnect cables;PACS system connection;X-ray tubes (fitted, fixed
anode or rotating anode) and so on.
It is highly recommended that with both new and used C-arm systems that the after the C-arm parts, applications and programs are installed, look thoroughly into the
applications and have them checked by an expert to make sure they are running properly.

Changes of x-rays over the years

Since 1895 Wilhelm Roentgen found X-rays,it has been used in many fields, such as medical ,industry. And it also have many changes over the years.
Health Effects
X-rays became an important medical diagnostic tool. And there are many different kinds of diagnostic tools:mobile x ray machine and fixed x ray machine.According to different classifications, the x ray machines have different names. By 1970, most Americans were getting at least one X-ray a year from doctors and dentists, according to the Medical Discoveries website. A correlation was established between frequency of X-rays and leukemia, however, so they are used less frequently as of 2010 than in years past. Doctors do use the harmful effects of X-rays for one benefit: to destroy cancer cells.
Computers
One big change in X-rays is the incorporation of computers, which allows technicians to capture images digitally. Technicians can send digital X-ray images anywhere in the world and can archive digital images without danger of deterioration. X-ray equipment as of 2010 is smaller, lighter and portable, which also represents a significant change.
We believe x-rays have many and large changes in the future.

Proton Beam Therapy vs. X-ray Beams

The problem with X-rays as an energy source is that they're not easy to control. They have a low mass and a high energy, making it difficult to direct exactly where and how they interact with body tissue. Most body tissue doesn't absorb or block X-rays, so they just keep moving right through the body, releasing energy. When an X-ray enters the body, it emits a tremendous amount of energy at the point of entrance. That's why X-ray treatment leaves people with a tan at the treatment site -- their skin is receiving a lot of radiation.
As the X-ray continues into the body, it continues to release energy. As long as the cancer tumor is somewhere in the path of the X-ray, it receives some of that radiation. But so does the healthy tissue all around it. The tissue damage that results from this type of radiation therapy can cause serious problems for the patient if the tumor is in a particularly sensitive area like the brain, the eye, the lungs, spinal cord or liver. It can cause irreparable organ damage. And for children, any tissue damage can be detrimental to their development. In order to limit the extent of collateral tissue damage, oncologists will bombard the tumor area with the lowest level of effective radiation.
Proton-beam therapy can avoid this type of collateral damage. Protons are positively charged atomic particles, and they have tremendous energy but also tremendous mass. They're easier to control than X-rays: They slow down as they encounter body tissue. Protons can actually be set to release their energy at a specific point in body.

There are many medical equipments are widely used in the pet hospitals, such as radiography machines (mobile x ray machine, digital x ray machines, etc.), laboratory machines and so on.
Now, we introduce other two machines in veterinary practice .They are Procedural and Miscellaneous Equipments.
Procedural Equipment
The basic inhalation anesthesia machine used in surgeries delivers a controlled amount of anesthetic agent mixed with oxygen and provides a method of assisting the patient's breathing. All anesthesia machines carry the same four components: a gas source (usually oxygen), a gas pressure regulator, a flow meter that controls the amount of gas entering the patient, and a vaporizer that delivers a concentration of the anesthetic agent into the patient.

Machines that monitor the patient's heart rate and blood pressure, the amount of carbon dioxide being expelled during breathing and the amount of oxygen in the blood are common in modern surgical suites.
Dental cleanings require an ultrasonic dental unit that uses sound waves to generate energy from a stationary shank down to a detachable head. Operating at 25,000 cycles per second, the unit causes the head to vibrate and separate calculus and stains from tooth surfaces. An aerosol mist generated from the head keeps the surface cool.
Miscellaneous Instrument
Vet clinics use various other machines to take care of their patients. Autoclaves sterilize instruments and materials used in surgeries and dental procedures.
Intravenous pumps deliver fluids and medication directly into the veins of sick patients.
Special tables whose height and angle can be adjusted are designed for surgical suites to facilitate veterinary procedures.

CT/CAT Scan (Computed Tomography)

CT/CAT Scan (Computed Tomography) uses rotating X-rays and computers to obtain close
and detailed images of organs, blood vessels and muscles. Providing clearer images than
a normal X-ray, this type of scan is usually used for the brain, sinuses, abdomen,
pelvis and chest.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound, or Sonography, is a diagnostic machine that uses high frequency sound
waves to generate images. This diagnostic imaging machine is often used during
pregnancy and to identify problems with internal organs. Ultrasound is considered the
safest modality to use due to its lack of radiation, especially for expecting women.

   X-ray
X-ray machines such as mobile x ray machine, c arm use X-rays, or electromagnetic
radiation, to provide images of any part of the body. Though the images are not as
detailed and clear as other forms of diagnostic imaging, they are quick and often used
to determine problems with dense areas of the body, such as bones or ligaments.

What Are Hematology Analyzers?

Hematology analyzers are computerized, highly specialized and automated machines that count the number of different kinds of white and red blood cells in a blood sample. The results they provide are collectively known as complete blood counts (CBCs) or complete blood count with differentiation of cells (CBCs with diff). Most current hematology analyzers provide red blood cell (RBC) counts, hemoglobin in RBCs, hematocrit levels, platelet counts, corpuscular data and counts of five different types of white blood cells.
The original hematology analyzers first appeared in the 1950s, but the truly functional and automated versions of these machines did not become available for two more decades. Before this time, cell counts were performed manually.Automated hematology analyzers have reduced this type of variability significantly.
Among a lot of remarkable achievements in medical science in last few decades, hematology analyzers have revolutionized medical practice. Internal medicine, pediatrics and oncology are among the specialties of medicine that require frequent, up-to-date and accurate CBC tests to determine if treatments are efficacious. It is now taken for granted that CBC tests can be ordered, the blood drawn and results available within the hour in facilities with an analyzer.

Special Symposia on Interventional Oncology

For RSNA 2011 attendees who are interested in interventional oncology, two special symposias will be held on Monday and again on Thursday. Monday’s symposium will discuss various minimally invasive treatments about lung cancer, and Thursday’s symposium will be about renal cell carcinoma.
"There are a lot of minimally invasive techniques that are done by interventional radiologists to treat tumors," said Damian Dupuy, MD, from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, who will chair the interventional oncology symposia. "In this day and age, when you have the baby boomers turning 65 and in their cancer years, it is going to be very difficult and expensive to use expensive invasive treatments to treat their cancer."
Minimally invasive therapy is made possible thanks to imaging techniques, he said.
"We can use less invasive and less costly procedures. They may be as effective and certainly for small kidney tumors, I think that surgery is not the way to go."
RSNA 2011 will also feature distinguished lectures and special addresses.
Nowadays, many kinds of medical equipments can diagnose the cancer and tumors, such as high frequency mobile x ray machine, c arm machine, digital x ray machine, fluoroscopic equipment ect.
RSNA 2011 Annual Meeting; November 27 to December 2, 2011.

Details of C-arm

C-arm has become an essential and fundamental piece of medical equipment in most
hospitals all in the world. A mobile C-arm unit generally includes the intensifier unit
and the television or workstation unit. The intensifier unit consists of c-arm with a
range of movements, allowing for use in a variety of surgical procedures. The c-arm has
an image intensifier and an X-ray tube positioned directly opposite from each other.
Most common uses include orthopedic surgeries and vascular procedures such as: barium
studies, endoscopy, fertility studies, angiography, pain management, urology, cardiac
catheterization and other fields.
The advantage of using a c-arm is that it allows low intensity x-rays to be
amplified, resulting in smaller doses to the patient being treated. The C-arm must be
compact and lightweight to allow easy positioning with adequate space to work around
the patient and a wide range of motion. The name c-arm is derived from the special
arched semi-circular arm which carries both the x-ray source and the detecting device
mobile C-Arm parts.

The advantage of interventional radiology

Today many conditions that once required surgery can be treated  by
interventional radiologists. Some of these procedures are done for purely diagnostic
purposes (e.g., angiogram), while others are done for treatment purposes (e.g.,
angioplasty). Interventional radiology treatments always offer less risk, pain, and
recovery time compared to the open surgery, and are a major advance in medicine for
patients.
The basic concept behind interventional radiology is to diagnose or treat
pathology using the least invasive technique possible. Images are used to direct
interventional procedures, which are usually done with needles and narrow tubes called
catheters. The images provide road maps that allow the interventional radiologist to
guide these instruments through the body to the areas containing disease. By minimizing
the physical trauma to the patient, peripheral interventions can reduce infection rates
and recovery time as well as shorten hospital stays.
Video surveillance equipment of interventional radiology: X-rays, CT,
ultrasound, MRI and so on. X rays--used by x ray machine(mobile x ray machine, fixed x
ray machine) is now widely used by hospitals.

Laboratory and Diagnostic Machines used in Veterinary Practice

American Animal Hospital Association states that "veterinary care facilities must meet certain minimum criteria regarding hospital standards". In order to receive accreditation through the association, these criteria include up-to-date laboratory, diagnostic and procedural machinery. Many of these machines are used in human medicine as well.
           Laboratory Machines
The laboratory centrifuge separates urine and blood samples into their liquid and solid components by spinning the fluids in small tubes at a centrifugal force of up to 25,000 times gravity. Veterinarians and vet techniques can analyze each sample and determine if any abnormalities are present. In some clinics the centrifuge spins down fecal samples so that the eggs of intestinal worms and other parasites float to the top and are more readily visible under a microscope.
Many veterinary clinics invest in an in-house chemistry analyzer. These machines require a blood or urine sample and use colored reagent slides to determine specific chemistries. A small amount of the patient's sample is added to each slide and the color density formed is electronically compared to predetermined norms. The concentrations of minerals, chemicals and electrolytes in the patient's blood and urine are useful in diagnosis.
              Diagnostic Machines
Radiograph machines are necessary diagnostic equipment, and the type and size of machine varies depending on the caseload and type of practice. Small animal hospitals typically use a stationary unit with a large X-ray tube that projects rapidly moving electrons at a centered target on a table. A cassette tray under the table holds the X-ray film that captures the projected image. Once the image is shot, a veterinary technician develops the film in an in-house developer. Some small animal clinics own smaller dental radiograph machines built expressly to take images of the teeth and mouth. Large animal hospitals normally possess mobile X-ray machines that can be moved from place to place (and farm to farm), and the films are usually developed off site.
Veterinary hospitals will usually include an electrocardiogram (ECG) machine in their normal practice. The ECG measures heart functions and is a diagnostic tool for older patients and those with heart disease. It also monitors animals under general anesthesia during surgeries.

How Does an X ray Machine Work?

Components

An X-ray machine is made up of a variety of different components. The main parts is a X-ray tube, a long cylinder that's pointed at the part of a patient's body that's going to be X-rayed. Inside this cylinder is an anode, which releases electrons, and a cathode, which absorbs the current of electrons from the anode. The cathode in this case is a circle that's made of metal tungsten. The result of this energy conduction is a stream of highly energized particles called photons. These photons are channeled through a number of filters until they create a beam of X-ray radiation.

X-rays

When X-ray radiation is sent out in a beam, it travels through the patient. X-rays are a form of radiation, just like light. Whereas light doesn't penetrate past the skin because it's reflected, X-rays can pass through the skin. X-ray radiation is only stopped by dense body tissues, such as bones. It's this property that allows X-rays to take a "picture" of a person's skeleton. When the X-rays travel through the body, they expose a film on the other side . Where the rays hit the film, they turn it black. In the areas where the patient's bones absorbed the energy, they show up white, making a picture of the bone structure.

Safety

Older X-ray machines exposed doctors and patients to a large amount of X-ray radiation, which is harmful to human bodies. As time passed and have made some advances, new safety measures have been implemented. Current X-ray machines only produce radiationof small amounts . Additionally, the beam is tightly focused onto an area of the patient's body. The machine is shielded, and proper precautions such as concrete and lead shielding need to be built into hospitals or clinics to stop radiation from moving outward.

What Are the Applications of Hematology?(2)

Aided by clinical laboratory work, hematologists also offer important insights
into some non-blood specific conditions as well. For example, these researchers often
work together with oncologists to explore the complexities and potential treatments for
cancers. The use of bone marrow due to its blood-cell generating capacities also
introduces promising research into stem cells. Unmarked stem cells hold the potential
for treatments of a wide variety of ailments.

In addition, hematology plays an important role in blood transfusions, or the
exchange of blood between two organisms. Several factors must be considered in this
process, from determining the health of the donor blood to matching blood types between
donors and recipients. All such concerns may be addressed by a hematologist.

Since blood always plays such a significant role in human body, it can also
increase knowledge of organs, particularly the heart and the blood vessels. Diseases
involving these systems are among the most prevalent and the most fatal in many
regions. Recognizing factors like diet and exercise impact the cardiovascular system
helps medical professionals, government officials, and society as a whole develop
programs and raise awareness to promote a healthy and balanced body.

There are some medical equipments can detect hematology to see if there are
some potential diseases, for example, hematology analyzer -- can detect the parameters
of the series of red blood cells and hemoglobin, platelet and leukocyte in the blood.
